New to compression socks? Don't be scared - we'll hold your hand all the way through the buying process. If you get confused, just call us at 1-877-545-8585 and one of our friendly experts will talk you through it.

Just follow these few simple steps and you'll be well on your way to happy, healthy legs.

1. Choose your style:
  • Everyday: Everyday hosiery can range from knee highs to thigh highs to pantyhose. You should consider how and where you want to wear the socks you're buying to select the style that best fits your lifestyle. For example, pantyhose with a pattern are great for dresses or skirts for work or a night out. Knee high socks can be worn with boots, over tights, under jeans and pants, and with skirts and dresses.
  • Athletic: Most customers shopping for athletic compression choose a knee high sock or calf sleeve. The fabrics are usually specially selected to wick away sweat and many of the socks are built with arch support and foot padding. Zensah and CEP make athletic socks exclusively, so they're a great place to start in your search.
  • Maternity: If you are an expecting mom, you can choose between knee highs, thigh highs and maternity pantyhose.
  • Travel Socks: A lot of people wear compression socks for long flights, car rides, train rides, and more. If you're sitting in the same position for a long period of time (like on a plane), you should wear compression socks.  Most people prefer to wear knee high socks for travel, but if you're most comfortable in thigh highs or stockings, you will get the same protection from swelling and deep vein thrombosis.
2. Choose your compression level
  • • Light (10-15 mmHg): For minor swelling, tired legs, prevention of spider and varicose veins, and more.
  • • Mild (15-20 mmHg): For minor swelling, tired or heavy feeling legs, athletic performance and recovery, prevention of spider and varicose veins and more.
  • • Moderate (20-30 mmHg): For athletic performance, treatment of moderate swelling and varicose veins, post-sclerotherapy, POTS, and more.
  • • Firm (30-40 mmHg): Only if recommended by a doctor
